Consignor Newsletter
FLEMINGTON
Edition 9 Volume 2
Week of October 9th 2011

Even though we still have a few weeks until drop-off begins, consignors should be starting to organize their items and get them ready to sell. Please take a few minutes to read the information in this newsletter. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know at laurie@kidzsignments.com. Thanks!

What is New!

  • NEW Crib policy – Due to change in the law in response to massive recalls we will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ANY CRIB MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO JUNE 28, 2011 at either of our events.

  • HOLIDAY DECOR – We will be accepting winter holiday home decor items including decorations, wall hangings, and ornaments (no household items like dishes, glasses etc.). Same quality standards apply (items must be in excellent condition and current).

Anatomy of our Tag
  • Tags print 10 per page.
  • Tags will only print the word “Donate” if you items are marked for donation (blank indicates you will be picking that item up on Sunday).
  • If you mark an item as no discount for half price day, you will see the words No Discount over the price. Items not displaying those words will be discounted during the Saturday half price sale.
  • A very few people may experience problems printing tags where the barcode cuts off the bottom. If this happens to you, email me (laurie@kidzsignments.com) and I will send you tags in a pdf document. The pdf tags will print correctly.

 ******************************************************************************************************************

REMEMBER

  • No Sort at Pick up -We no longer sort items for pick up. Instead, we will leave items on the tables and racks and provide sellers with a list of unsold items. Consignors will be able to take their items directly off the racks and tables. As a result of this new process, we will keep 1-2 registers open for check out to accommodate the additional sales. Fewer people touching YOUR items is a good thing.
  • EDISON SELLERS – If you sold with us in Edison, you will need to FIRST transfer your Edison inventory to your Flemington account BEFORE entering anything new. Click HERE for instructions on how to complete your transfer.
  • Drop Off Appointment– Every consignor will need to schedule a drop off appointment. Your appointment will take 45-60 minutes (or more if you have a large number of items). lese make sure you are scheduling your drop off around your volunteer hours.
  • Fall Clothing–This is a fall/winter sale. Clothing must be seasonal appropriate. Save your swimsuits, warm weather clothing and pool items for the spring sale.
  • 12-Hour Volunteers – Volunteers who work 12 hours will receive a pass to shop the pre-sale beginning at noon on Wednesday, November 16th. Schedule 3 shifts or ask about working only two 6-hour shifts.
  • Returning Sellers – Don’t forget to delete your items sold and items donated. You will need to transfer previously entered items that you plan to  sell this sale from your inactive inventory to your active inventory.

Consignor Do’s and Don’ts…

DO- Make sure your account is up to date by deleting sold/donated items and, if applicable, moving items into your active inventory (from your inactive inventory) You many also change your mailing address, email and phone numbers from the consignor homepage- Returning sellers only

DON’T – Miss out on your higher percentage and earlier shopping pass by not volunteering (up to 75%)! Many shifts are still available. Click here to learn more!

DO - Take time to read/review the information on preparing items correctly (Click here) – EVEN if you are a returning seller. We change little things each sale to help improve efficiencly.

DON’T –Wait for the last minute to start entering items. Remember, the deadline for entering/printing tags is 11:59 pm Sunday, November 6th! Click Here to begin entering your items.

DO – Start now to clean out the closets, drawers and toy chests. Give yourself plenty of time to gather, prep and enter for the sale!

DON’T – Use packing tape or scotch tape on book covers or game/puzzle boxes (it will destroy the box when removed). Instead use masking (painters) tape when attaching tags to anything with paper or cardboard.
