Consignor Newsletter
Edition 8 Volume 4

PLEASE NOTE: Our Flemington registration is full and we have begun a waitlist. If you find you cannot consign, kindly let me know so I may give those on the waitlist an opportunity to participate. Consignors who unregister after this date (or do not show up) may be ineligible to particpate in future Kidzsignments events.

Consignor Notes

  1. NEW!! – Holiday/Winter Decor – This went over SUPER in Edison and I am excited to offer sellers the opportunity to sell their gently-used winter holiday home decor items in Flemington too. What we are looking for are decorations, wall hangings, ornaments etc. All items must be HOLIDAY themed and meet the same quality standards as all other items. Please do not bring household items (i.e. dishes, plates, platters etc.). If you have a question about what is acceptable, please email me at laurie@kidzsignments.com.
  2. What Clothing is Acceptable for this Sale? –  This is clarification of what is acceptable clothing for the fall sale. Shoppers will be looking to purchase cold weather clothing. We cannot accept short sleeves unless it has a collar or is specifically a fall/winter item (i.e. Halloween shirt or Holiday outfit). Please save your spring/summer clothing, windbreakers, swimsuits and Easter dresses for the spring sale. We do not accept pool toys at the fall sale
  3. Item Limits – The item limit on clothing 0-18 months is a per gender total. The total is not per size but a total of 25 items sized 0-18 months (this includes items sized 18/24 months). This is per gender, so if you have a boy and girl, you get 25 items in boys and 25 items in girls. If you sell multiple pieces together (i.e. one price tag) that only counts as ONE item. BUT you may attach no more than 2 hangers together to make an item and those hangers must be ziptied together (no more rubber bands). ~We also discourage against reselling large amounts of identical items and ask that you bring no more than 5 identical items to drop off .
  4. What We Cannot Sell – The following are items that we DO NOT accept at either sale.
    1.  Any crib manufactured PRIOR to June 28, 2011- NEW for Fall 2011
    2.  Car seats or booster seats
    3.  Bike helmets
    4.  Underwear (unless new in package)
    5.  Jewelry
    6.  Stuffed animals (unless they are mechanical like Chicken Dance Elmo)
    7.  Items recalled by the CPSC – see complete list here

Consignor Do’s and Don’ts…

  • DO – Secure items. Hang clothing securely on hangers (pin if necessary). Use packing tape to close bags and attach accessories.
  • DON’T – Put tags inside of bags or boxes. We need to scan them at checkout and digging into bags will hold up the process.
  • DO – Print tags using an inkjet printer. Laser printer ink will flake and may cause bar codes not to scan.
  • DON’T – Change the information for an item (especially price) in the system without printing and attaching a new tag.
  • DO – Make sure your bar codes are printing clearly (barcodes that appear blurred or bleed into the cardstock will not scan).
  • DON’T – Wait until the last minute to enter/print tags. Enter and print at least 6 items in MSM now to be sure tags print correctly and to avoid last minute problems.

Tagging FAQ

What Should  We Use to Print Tags?
Tags MUST be printed on card stock. Cardstock is about the consistency of an index card. You will find it at Staples, WalMart or Michaels. Most printers have no problem printing on cardstock. It is best if you use 65-67lb but heavier weights will work okay.  If you cannot print on cardstock email me for some suggestions.

How do I Enter & Print My Tags?
Consignors will enter and print their tags via the MSM (MySaleManager) system. Access your account via
www.kidzsignments.com and select Consignor Log in – Flemington from the menu. Once logged in, select Work With My Consigned Items to enter and print tags. – Click here to access directly > CONSIGNOR LOGIN

How do I Attach The Price Tag?
Attach tags to clothing items with either safety pins (not straight pins) or a tagging gun (I have a few of these available for purchase for $12.00 see here for more information). Pierce the garment in the tag, underarm or other inconspicuous location where a hole will not harm the item. Scotch tape tags to books and toy/game boxes. Use packing tape to attach tags to infant gear, ride on toys etc. If your item is an odd shape for using tape, tie the tag to the item with string or a zip tie. Be careful where you tag/pin your tag. If you choose a bad spot and you pin leaves an obvious hole, you will likely loose a sale.

Is There a Deadline to Enter and Print My Tags?
Yes. The deadline to input items and print tags is 11:59 pm on Sunday, November 6th. After 11:59 pm, consignors will no longer have access to enter new items or edit existing items. You will still be able to print tags and an inventory list.
