Consignor Newsletter
Edition 9 Volume 6
Week of November 7, 2011

PLEASE NOTE: Our Flemington registration is full. If you are registered but do not show up to drop off your items, you may be prohibited from participating future Kidzsignments events.

REMEMBER!

  • Make sure your information (address/email/phone) is up to date to avoid check delays.
  • All Clothing needs to be hung on wire hangers. Fall/Winter items ONLY!
  • Mark items with your consignor id#. This will enable us to look up and sell your item if the tag falls off.
  • If you make changes to an item, especially changes to the price, half price option or donate option, you MUST print a new tag to update the barcode. No handwritten changes.
  • NO CRIBS DUE TO CPSC GUIDELINES AND NEW LAWS!
  • Deadline to enter/print tags is SATURDAY, November 12th at 11:59pm! < BONUS TIME!
  • If you are picking up items on Sunday, November 20th, you must be there before 2pm to avoid donation.
  • Pre sale passes (wristbands) are 1 per person.
  • Remember that WE DO NOT SORT items for pick up. If you are picking up, it is a good idea to mark you things in such a way that they “POP at PICK UP“!

Preparing Items

VERY IMPORTANT- Please be careful where you attach tags to clothing. DO NOT pin (or tag) tags in the front or the garment or anywhere that  might result in a hole. Pin through the care tag, armpit, belt loop or any other non conspicious area.

All clothing (except onesies/socks/tights) should be hung on a wire hanger (adult or child-size). Please see these pictures for specifics:

Pants should be attached to the hanger like in this picture. Be sure to pin the pant to the shoulder of the hanger (not the bottom) to minimize slipping and movement. Do NOT hang the pants over the bottom of the hanger.
This picture shows the best way to hang 2 pieces on a single hanger. First, hang the shirt on the hanger. Second, attach the pants to the back of the hanger (not the shirt). If you are hanging 2 pairs of pants to one hanger, pin one the front and one to the back. Hanging 2 shirts on hanger can be accomplished by hanging one shirt, turning the hanger backwards and pinning the shirt to the hanger on the back (i.e. pinning through the shirt on to the hanger)
  • Books can be sold individually or as a set. You can bag several books (recommended) or tie the books together with string or ribbon.
  • Make sure to securely attach all accessories, parts, etc. to toys and other items by placing them in a baggie and then taping the baggie securely to the item you are selling. SEAL ALL YOUR BAGS!

Pricing

Most people price items at about 1/4-1/3 the original retail. For detailed pricing information. Click Here for ideas >>> Pricing_Spreadsheet

Drop-Off

  • Consignor drop-off will take place in the front of the building (76 Reaville Avenue – next to McDonalds).
  • Items are to be brought to the sale location at  your registered drop-off time. If you are more than 5 minutes late be prepared to wait for the next available opening.

This is an overview of the drop-off process. More detailed information is available on the website or Click Here to view detailed and printer-friendly instructions.

DROP OFF OVERVIEW

CHECK IN

  • Arrive to the sale location and park in a parking space. DO NOT park in the fire line or anywhere your car will make it difficult for a deliver truck to maneuver past.
  • Leave items in your vehicle.
  • Stop at the check in desk to complete paperwork and pick up your pre sale and half price sale wristbands

ITEM INSPECTION

  • After you are checked in and your items are inside the building, you will be assigned an inspector team who will inventory and inspect your items.
  • You will be given back items that we cannot accept. Please do not negotiate with our volunteers to take back these items. Please don’t feel bad or offended if you receive items back. It is easy to miss a small spot or hole. We do this to maintain a high quality sale.
  • As your items are inventoried a volunteer will direct you to place the items on the sales floor.
  • Before you leave, be sure you have your consignor and half price pre sales wristbands.

Volunteer

We still have volunteer openings. Please consider volunteering for an available shift. Volunteers earn a 10-15% selling bonus. Plus, all volunteers can shop the pre sale before the other consignors.

Volunteer schedule locks at 11:59pm on Wednesday, November 9th! No changes after that date may be made.
