Consignor Newsletter
EDISON

Edition 3 Volume 6
Week of  March 18th, 2012

(1) ITEM ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, March 25th at 11:59 pm is your final deadline to enter items into the system (or make changes to existing items). You will still have access to view your inventory and print tags after that time.

(2) Wednesday, March 21st is the last day for Volunteers to change/remove shifts from your schedule without risk of losing the privilege to volunteer at future events.

(3)  INVENTORY TRANSFER: Flemington consignors will be able to transfer unsold items to an Edison account later on Tuesday. You will not need to print new tags unless you are changing anything (i.e. price, discount option etc.). Here is a link with more information > Consigning at Multiple Sales.

 ***************************************************************************************************************
An Important Note- All sellers NEED to be quality checking their items before entering/tagging and bringing them to drop off. It is imperative that you pull out items that are stained, broken, not clean etc. We will be inspecting items at drop off and we realize that it is easy to miss a small spot or stain. However, larger stains and tears should be caught before items come to us. We pride ourselves on a quality sale and it is important, for consignors, that shoppers feel confident in the quality of your items so they tell their friends and return to shop each sale. Thank you!

NEW REFERRAL  PROGRAM! – For the next 6 days (now through Sunday) we are running a referral incentive program for the Edison sale. A consignor who refers 2 qualified consignors to the spring 2012 sale will earn an additional 5% earnings. This can raise your earnings to 80%! A qualified referral is a consignor who is not currently registered or has never previously registered to consign with either Kidzsignments events AND must consign a minumum of 25 items (and/or a minumum of $150 in value). Credit can only be given to one consignor for each referral AND referrals MUST include the referring consignor’s name in the ‘Referred by’ box on the registration form (at the time of registration). TELL YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, CO WORKERS, NEIGHBORS ABOUT US – Use the flyer at the end of the newsletter or request I send you a packet of postcards to distribute.

REMEMBER!

  • All Clothing needs to be hung on wire hangers. Spring/Summer items ONLY!
  • Mark items with your consignor id#. This will enable us to look up and sell your item if the tag falls off.
  • If you make changes to an item, especially changes to the price, half price option or donate option, you MUST print a new tag to update the barcode. No handwritten changes.
  • NO CRIBS MANUFACTURED PRIOR TO JUNE 28, 2011 DUE TO NEW SAFETY STANDARDS!
  • Deadline to enter/print tags is SUNDAY, March 25that 11:59pm! <<<DON’T WAIT UNTIL THEN!
  • If you are picking up items on Sunday, April 1st, you must have all of your items out the door by 3pm. Plan enough time to gather your things from the sales floor.
  • Pre sale passes (wristbands) are 1 per person.
  • Remember that WE ARE NOT SORTING items for pick up. If you are picking up, it is a good idea to mark you things in such a way that they “POP at PICK UP“! Some ideas artying string or ribbon around the necks of the hangers or using painters tape or colored labels around the neck of your hanger.
Kidzsignments is on Facebook. We share a lot of great info and special notices on our fan page. Are you a fan? Click here or the image the the left to join today.

Preparing Items

All clothing (except onesies/socks/tights) should be hung on a wire hanger (adult or child-size). Please see these pictures for specifics:

Pants should be attached to the hanger like in this picture. Be sure to pin the pant to the shoulder of the hanger (not the bottom) to minimize slipping and movement. Do NOT hang the pants over the bottom of the hanger.
This picture shows the best way to hang 2 pieces on a single hanger. First, hang the shirt on the hanger. Second, attach the pants to the back of the hanger (not the shirt). If you are hanging 2 pairs of pants to one hanger, pin one the front and one to the back. Hanging 2 shirts on hanger can be accomplished by hanging one shirt, turning the hanger backwards and pinning the shirt to the hanger on the back (i.e. pinning through the shirt on to the hanger)
  • Books can be sold individually or as a set. You can bag several books (recommended) or tie the books together with string or ribbon.
  • Make sure to securely attach all accessories, parts, etc. to toys and other items by placing them in a baggie and then taping the baggie securely to the item you are selling. SEAL ALL YOUR BAGS!

Pricing

Most people price items at about 1/4-1/3 the original retail. For detailed pricing information. Click Here for ideas >>> Pricing_Spreadsheet

** I have added a few shifts to accomodate different schedules. If you cannot find a 4 hour block that works for you, please let me know your availability and I will try to customize a shift to fit your needs.**
