Volunteer FAQ

Do I have to volunteer in order to consign?
No. You will still earn your consignor preview sale privileges but earn the minimum of 60% on your sold items. Volunteering a minimum of 4 hours bumps your percentage to 70%.

What will I receive in exchange for volunteering my time?
Volunteers who work 4-hours will earn 70% and shop before consignors. Volunteers who work 8-hours (or two 4-hour shifts) will earn 75% AND shop before the 4-hour volunteers and the consignors. Best Deal! Work 12 hours and shop the sale at the absolute earliest shopping time – 12:00 pm on Wednesday!

May I volunteer time before the sale?
Yes. We are always looking for help publicizing the sale, setting up racks, passing out fliers and much more. If you would like to do something prior to the sale, let us know and we will give you credit for it. There are a limited number of opportunities available.

May I work two 2 smaller shifts instead?
We prefer that you work one 4-hour shift. We will try and make accommodations
wherever we can. Please let us know if you would prefer a to work 2-two hour shifts instead and we will work with your schedule.

May I bring my children with me during my shift?
No. It will be too difficult for you to work and watch the little ones at the same time.
If you have an extenuating circumstance, please let us know  Volunteers who are nursing small infants may bring their baby  (because of obvious safety concerns, select a shift  that we are closed to the public). NO CHILDREN ALLOWED IF YOU ARE VOLUNTEERING AT ANY TIME DURING THE PUBLIC SALE.

What days/times are available to volunteer?
Volunteer shifts begin the Sunday before the sale  and continue through Monday after. You may check out all the volunteer shifts on the Volunteer page or Click Here

Do I have to be a consignor to volunteer?
No. You do not have to be a consignor to volunteer at the sale. We welcome the
help and will reward you with a preview shopping pass  (see Volunteer page or Click Here for shopping times).

What if I want to change my shift?
You are allowed to change or cancel your shift without penalty up to 7 days before the sale begins. To change or delete your shift, Click Here.

What will happen if I do not complete my scheduled shift OR
cancel my shift 7 days or less before the sale begins?

If you volunteer, we are counting on you to follow through. In the event a volunteer does not fulfill their obligation, or find a comparable replacement, the volunteer will not be allowed to participate as a volunteer again or participate in any future preview sale. Please understand that these guidelines have been put in to place to
maintain a high quality sale.
